Race of Drones Oulu brought the international drone World Cup to the Arctic zone of Finland for the second time. The first race in 2019 was a success, so we listened to the racers and did it again in 2020! ROD took place in Oulu – the Capital of Northern Scandinavia – on the 13th of March 2020.
What is drone racing?
A race for competitive drone pilots. Drone racing is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. The pilots guide the drones with remote controls by watching the route on their FPV virtual reality goggles – making it feel like they were actually flying. Excitement and speed is guaranteed – racing drones reach speeds of 200 kilometres per hour!
The race was arranged in collaboration with the Finnish drone union FPV Finland and as a part of FAI Drone Racing World Cup events.
Welcome to Oulu!
